As part of our economic diversification strategy, the UAE has a long history of proactively implementing and encouraging renewable energy and carbon reduction technologies. We’ve always seen radical climate change as a way to boost the economy. We recognize that investing in climate mitigation and adaptation technologies has a good business case, and that our investments would result in employment and economic development in addition to carbon reductions.
