UAE: The Future For The Next 50 Years!

In executing the instructions of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President, Prime Minister and Governor of Dubai, the UAE Government has held advisory meetings to shape the future of education and human resources for the next fifty years , as part of the initiatives of the 50-year Development Plan Committee, headed by H.H. In order to combine the work of federal and local authorities in writing the pillars of the UAE Centennial Programme, Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan, the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Presidential Affairs.

More than 600 federal and state leaders attended five-day consultative sessions to ensure the overall growth of the education system and national human capital through the review of existing knowledge, the planning of possible global trends and the drafting of proactive strategies to face emerging challenges. The meetings were attended by Minister of Education Hussain bin Ibrahim Al Hammadi; Minister of State for Public Education Jameela Al Muheiri; Minister of Human Capital and Emiratization Nasser bin Thani Al Hamli; and Minister of State for Advanced Sciences Sarah bint Yousif Al Amiri, as well as other officials. In order to prepare for the next fifty years, Al Hammadi outlined the country’s education and human resources programme, noting that this critical portfolio is a national priority for the UAE, which has arranged numerous advisory meetings between educational authorities to define potential needs and to draft a cohesive strategy.

Those meetings were held to achieve the idea of lifelong education and to institutionalize a sustainable vision for education, he said, adding that this vision would take advantage of all the capacity available and predict the future. Al Muheiri stressed that, under the directives of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid, the development plan for the next fifty years is a crucial instrument to promote the overall sustainable development of the region.

Together with government officials and educational institutions, the Ministry of Education is planning to shape the future and is planning to draft an educational roadmap that will act as a turning point for achieving the country’s priorities and promoting creativity, she said. In the same vein, Al Hamli emphasized the importance of enhancing national efforts to plan a national policy for the next fifty years , in line with the ambitions of Highness Sheikh Mohammed and Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces of the UAE.

He also commended Sheikh Mansour ‘s support for the national teams under the plan and his supervision of their work. Al Amiri pointed out that, thanks to its leadership guidance, the UAE is improving its global leadership role in many sectors by preparing for the future and making use of creativity.
