UAE successfully completed Genomics study

A SARS-CoV-2 genome sequencing analysis that has identified the genomic source of the COVID-19
pandemic has been conducted by G42 Healthcare, a subsidiary of Abu Dhabi-based Group 42.

Since the disease was first reported in the UAE, the analysis would help establish the distribution and development patterns of the virus.
The entire research, which is now in the final stages of development, will be published as a scientific paper.

The study also offers additional insights into SARS-CoV-2 dynamics for sustainable screening and will help the country better prepare for future outbreaks.
