UAE-India ties tighten as the countries choose to stand side by side in battling against the worldwide virus!
The partnership between the United Arab Emirates and the Republic of India in fighting the Covid-19 pandemic and minimizing its humanitarian consequences is widely regarded as a model for fruitful cooperation and global synergy in combating the pandemic and mitigating its humanitarian consequences. On Sunday night, the UAE landmarks were lit up in the colors of the Indian flag in full solidarity with India, which is dealing with a growing Covid-19 crisis and a rising number of fatalities. Cooperation between the two countries on the Covid-19 took several forms, including facilitating repatriation flights at the start of the health crisis, information transfer, medical assistance and supplies, skills sharing, and the use of advanced screening techniques to identify active virus infections.
The UAE and India have had a long-standing strategic relationship that began in 1972 with the establishment of diplomatic ties between the two countries, which has since blossomed into fruitful cooperation based on mutual confidence and shared interests on a wide range of issues. In 2017, these special relations were formalized with the signing of a detailed strategic partnership agreement between the two countries.
