UAE: Follow the health protocols, Covid-19 is still here.
The United Arab Emirates once again reminded its residents to not forget to follow the health protocols when going out of their homes. The UAE has been easing restrictions but they still advise everyone to follow simple guidelines that will help lessen the spread of the virus. A simple wearing of mask and washing of hands is of great help to everyone.
The UAE has till now performed over 8.4 million tests as part of the country ‘s large screening programs to battle Covid-19 spread. The ministry has advised the public to obey all preventive guidelines, with an increase in Covid-19 cases in recent days. According to the authorities, the country has experienced an increase in Covid-19 cases in recent days, largely due to non-compliance with the country’s precautionary steps. A new Center #4Humanity was launched in Egypt as part of ongoing efforts to extend the scope of the Phase III clinical trials of the inactivated Covid-19 vaccine, as reported by the Abu Dhabi Media Office on Thursday. That makes Egypt the fourth Arab country to take part in the trials after the UAE, Bahrain and Jordan. It was also announced recently that, during a 14-day home quarantine, individuals arriving in Abu Dhabi would undergo a mandatory Covid-19 PCR test and wear a monitoring wristband. All passengers have to take a DTI test upon arrival. A PCR evaluation will not be carried out. Passengers are therefore expected to wait until the test result is obtained at the entry stage. The health authorities will determine the most suitable location for quarantine. This could be at home, in a hotel or in government-provided accommodation. Violating these mechanisms, as defined by the attorney general, can result in sanctions and fines.
