The UAE gets commended by French Ministers for playing such a huge humanitarian role in Afghanistan!
At a meeting with French Minister for Europe and Foreign Affairs Jean-Yves Le Drian and French Minister of the Armed Forces, H.H. Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces, praised the lengthy UAE-French ties and the esteemed economic ties with Emmanuel Macron, President of France. During the meeting in Qasr Al Shat’ Palace, the French ministers expressed the French President’s respect and thanks for the UAE’s role in facilitating the evacuation of French diplomats and nationals, as well as citizens of numerous other friendly countries.
The ministers also acknowledged their country’s gratitude for the UAE’s enormous humanitarian assistance in Afghanistan over the years, despite the difficult conditions that the Afghan people have faced. Sheikh Mohamed emphasized the importance of friendly countries and friends in times of crisis, stating that the UAE’s humanitarian diplomacy is based on solidarity and help for people in need. He praised the UAE and France’s strategic cooperation and mutual trust, as well as their shared moderate approach to regional concerns such as peace, security, and prosperity.
