Mohammad Mahmoud Al Khajah, the UAE’s ambassador to Israel, conducted a historic visit to the home of the Rosh Yeshivah, Hagaon Harav Shalom Cohen, shlita, Nasi of the Moetzet Chachmei HaTorah of Shas in Yerushalayim. As part of the emirate’s first voyage to Israel since the two nations signed a peace accord, the ambassador came at the Rosh Yeshivah’s home.

They addressed the Abraham Accords, among other things, during the visit; part of the dialogue was even in Arabic, and the Ambassador told the Rosh Yeshivah that the Abraham Accords were named so because the essence is religious and spiritual, not simply political. The visit was also attended by Adv. Rami Simani, an associate of Rosh Yeshivah Harav Shalom Cohen, and Harav Cohen and the ambassador explored the plight of Jews residing in the Gulf.
