The largest private academic hospital in the Middle East, Thumbay University Hospital Ajman, has introduced a ‘Marhaba Service’ for its patients. This solution will reduce patient wait times and provide a completely individualized service that combines medical efficiency with the comfort and services provided by the hospitality industry. The innovative concept is the first of its kind in the UAE, and it provides tailored care to both in-patients and out-patients. A concierge, valet parking, a separate VVIP entrance and elevator, a ‘Marhaba Lounge,’ and a personal Guest Relations Officer who guides the patient throughout their journey are all included in the service.

“We are continually searching for new and inventive methods to improve our services as a patient-centered hospital. The ‘Marhaba Service’ takes a distinct approach, establishing new standards in the healthcare industry. I believe that our industry can learn a lot from the hospitality industry, as they share many key qualities and cater to ever-demanding, well-informed clientele “Dr. Walia stated. “The hospitality business is always re-inventing itself by coming up with new and remarkable ideas to astound their guests, and it’s critical that healthcare providers take advantage of this knowledge and successful advances to improve patient satisfaction levels.”
