According to local media, the Emirates schools system announced that over 2,000 high school toppers and their families are eligible for a golden visa in the United Arab Emirates. A total of 2,036 public and private school graduates will be granted a 10-year visa if they received a cumulative score of 95 percent or higher on their UAE Ministry of Education Grade 12 exams. The authority stated, “This is in acknowledgment of our excellent pupils and in accordance with the UAE government, which is committed to providing a fostering environment for distinguished and talented people.”

The United Arab Emirates announced earlier this month that excellent high school graduates and their families are eligible for a 10-year visa. In addition to the highest-scoring high school graduates, visas will be available to university students both inside and outside the country who have a cumulative GPA of at least 3.75 in particular science majors. The government introduced the golden visa in 2019 to allow foreigners to live, learn, and work in the country for an extended period of time without the need for a national sponsor. The visas are automatically renewed and are good for 5 or 10 years.
