The first live experiments have been conducted for ‘hyperloop’ travel with passengers on board. At its Nevada base, Virgin Hyperloop, in which Dubai’s DP World is a big shareholder, did the passenger-on-board drill. As the next step of public transport, Hyperloop is dubbed and will likely make travel between Dubai and Abu Dhabi in a matter of minutes.

They hit speeds of up to 1,000 kilometers per hour. The research took place at the 500-meter DevLoop test site of Virgin Hyperloop in Las Vegas , Nevada, where over 400 unoccupied experiments have previously been conducted by the company. Combined with the developments at the Hyperloop Certification Centre, this historic research milestone will pave the way for hyperloop projects around the world to be certified.

This are the first moves in Saudi Arabia and the UAE for commercial launches. On the new XP-2 vehicle, engineered by Bjarke Ingels Company, the occupants made their voyage. The two-seater XP-2 test vehicle was designed to show that people can potentially fly in a hyperloop vehicle, whilst the production vehicle will be bigger and can accommodate up to 28 passengers.
