Following measures by the General Directorate of Anti-Corruption and Economic and Electronic Security’s International and Interpol Affairs Directorate, fugitive Ahmed Jaffar Mohammed Ali, 49, was repatriated on Monday. This achievement was made possible through a cooperative effort involving member countries of the International Criminal Police Organization. Between 2012 and 2015, Mohammed Ali was sentenced to three life sentences and ten years in prison for terrorism-related offenses, including murder and the production and possession of explosives.

He was apprehended, according to the Directorate, after coordination and communication with a friendly country. He was previously a wanted man in Iran, and Interpol had issued a Red Notice on him when Bahrain made a request. The Directorate emphasized that all necessary legal actions were taken in accordance with the Public Prosecution to ensure that the law was enforced.
