Emirates’ popular social media influencer, Khalid Al Ameri flies to Uganda to support a Ugandan girl’s

Luck is described as success or failure that appears to be the result of chance rather than one’s own behavior — and it may have been the same path that Sarah took six years ago when she enrolled to travel and work as a maid in the Middle East. Sarah ended up in the care of Khalid Al Ameri and his family, a well-known United Arab Emirates — UAE social media influencer, and the rest is history — after the employer and employee became friends. When the time came, the employer promised to pay for both his employee’s wedding and his own, and like most Arabs, Khalid is in Uganda to make good on his promise.

Khalid and his family arrived in Uganda to fulfill a pledge to attend the wedding of their former Ugandan house maid. Khalid and his family shared several videos on social media, receiving over a million views as they promised to cover all of Sarah’s wedding expenses as well as attend the event. Sarah was identified by the couple as a good “ambassador of Uganda” who had become their sister over the years. “It is a privilege to be here in Africa’s pearl. Sarah gave my family a wonderful introduction to Uganda; she’s a fantastic ambassador who treats you with the utmost respect, dignity, work ethic, and compassion.
