Age restrictions for Kindergarten students!

Parents and educators welcomed the changes made to the minimum admissions age by education authorities for school students at kindergarten (KG) and grade 1 levels throughout the world.

According to estimates published by the Education and Human Resources Council of the UAE on Wednesday, a child must be four years of age to be enrolled in KG after meeting with the UAE Ministry of Education and the related education authorities.
A student must be between six and eight years old for Grade 1.
This is effective as of the 2021-222 academic year (August 31).

The education authorities have also decided to update the date of measurement of the age of entry for
students in private schools following curricula in India, Pakistan and Japan, where the academic term starts in April. From the 2022-23 academic year "with no exceptions" the aforementioned ages apply.
